In 2003, SunButter® partnered with the USDA to develop the first-ever sunflower seed spread. We created it as a nut-free alternative to serve in schools to safeguard the health of those with peanut allergies. Our work today is inspired by our start as product pioneers of the first and foremost delicious, nutritious nut-free spread.
To make SunButter®, we start with the finest sunflower kernel available. We source ours in the US & globally from carefully vetted farmers. The entire process, from receiving sunflower kernel to packaging our delicious sunflower seed butter all occurs under one roof. In fact, our entire production facility is free from all top 9 food allergens! Every pound of SunButter® is proudly made in Fargo, North Dakota.
