For companies interested in exporting, Pride of Dakota provides consulting and programs for assistance and market research.

All Pride of Dakota members may use the Pride of Dakota logo on their packaging, marketing materials, websites and other published materials. Members can also purchase Pride of Dakota stickers to place on their products.

Networking gives Pride of Dakota members the opportunity to learn from the experiences and successes of other member companies and to develop mutually beneficial business relationships.

The quarterly, electronic newsletter highlights upcoming projects, marketing and business development opportunities, feature stories on member companies, a calendar of events and more.

Shelf talkers, shelf tags and stickers featuring the Pride of Dakota logo are available for members to purchase.
 
  • Pride of Dakota Month
March is Pride of Dakota Month. Promotions and materials elevate the awareness of the program.
 
  • Pride of Dakota School Lunch Day
Hundreds of school lunchrooms around the state feature North Dakota wheat, beef, durum, beans, sunflowers, pork and other commodities on their menus during the annual Pride of Dakota School Lunch Day. The program helps young people understand where their food comes from and how to make healthy food choices. It also demonstrates to school administrators and school lunch directors that North Dakota companies can supply many of their menu needs, and it shows North Dakota companies that school lunch programs can be an important market for their products.
 
  • Reduced Rate Cooperative Advertising
Pride of Dakota offers member companies discounts on advertising in local and regional publications as part of program promotions.
 
  • Retail Store Promotion Program
The Retail Store Promotion Program offers free benefits to North Dakota retail stores that carry Pride of Dakota products. Participating retailers have a profile page on the Pride of Dakota website and are linked to each profile page of the companies whose products they carry. Retail stores also have access to Pride of Dakota point-of-purchase materials and can apply for the Retail Store Grant to help fund events featuring North Dakota products. Sign up as a Pride of Dakota Retail Store to take advantage of these opportunities!

Each year, the North Dakota Department of Agriculture offers trainings and resources on business and marketing topics, one-on-one consultations with experts, and networking opportunities with other entrepreneurs.

  • Trade Show Assistance
Pride of Dakota provides financial assistance to members attending regional, national and international trade shows. The program enables Pride of Dakota members to receive financial assistance for attending either a wholesale or a retail trade show outside North Dakota. Review the Trade Show Assistance Program Guidelines before submitting the Trade Show Assistance Program Grant Application.
 
  • Vendor Opportunities
At the popular Harvest & Holiday Showcases, along with a number of other one-day events, Pride of Dakota members can set up a booth and sell their products to thousands of shoppers. Harvest Showcases are held in Dickinson and Williston during the fall and Holiday Showcases are held in Grand Forks, Minot, Fargo and Bismarck during the winter. Pride of Dakota Days are held at the State Capitol in the spring and fall, and thousands of visitors stop by the Pride of Dakota tent at the North Dakota State Fair.

The Pride of Dakota website provides every member company with its own profile page to share information about its operation, products or services. Members can also use the website to register for Pride of Dakota events, renew membership and purchase materials.
