Company History
Wuve Handmade was formed in 2012 in downtown Fargo. I have always been the creative type, making home decorations, sewing garments and other goods, painting and upcycling furniture and many other types of things starting at a young age with help from my mother. I come from a long line of craftsmen and tradespeople. I have always loved jewelry and garments. As a child and teenager, my cousin Kristy and I use to dream of making jewelry and having a clothing line. Childhood dreams do come true! Products created by Wuve Handmade are 100% handmade in Fargo. I am the main designer, with help and support coming from my business partner and husband, Jason Remmen. The clothing patterns are drafted by me from vintage clothing. I enjoy adding the special touches like piping, contrasting lining, etc. I have a home studio with top-of-the-line machines. All garments are professionally finished; the seams are all serged and protected. A distinction I would like to make is that I am not a seamstress, I consider myself a fashion designer. I do not offer mending or take special orders. I design the clothing and sell it as is. On occasion, I consider making a garment in a different color (without changing the design). I believe for an item to be handmade, it should be forged and created out of raw materials, using talents and abilities to turn it into something unique.
