The Ukrainian Cultural Institute produces ethnic food in North Dakota and distributes through grocery stores in Dickinson, ND and Bismarck, ND.. Cheese buttons (pyrohy) are filled with potato, cottage cheese or sauerkraut. The Institute is open to the public to enjoy the museum, gift shop and to tour the kitchen during the production of the cheese buttons.

Company History

The Ukrainian Cultural Institute was established as a non-profit organization in 1983 to honor the Ukrainian immigrants to southwestern ND and to keep their heritage alive.  UCI began producing perogies (cheese buttons) in 1993, which are sold through some grocery stores in Dickinson and Bismarck, ND and at UCI's facility in Dickinson.
