Welcome! My name is Ashden and I am the owner and face behind Ten Acres Candles. I live in “God’s Country” in eastern North Dakota with my husband and four kids. Most of you would have guessed, my love for candles run deep. I am constantly burning candles in my home and I’m sure my family can attest to that! But finding clean-burning, non-toxic candles that are truly safe for my family? That was a challenge.

The thought of making my own candles started around the time we brought our daughter home from the NICU- she had just spent over four months there! One night, I was rocking her to sleep next to my newly bought candle from my favorite store and I thought, how safe can this candle really be? That's kind of all it took. Now, I hand-pour 100% soy wax candles with phthalate-free and paraben-free fragrance oils, so you (and your family—pets included!) can enjoy cozy, clean scents without the worry. Because candles should be enjoyed, not questioned!
