In 2006 friends and business partners Gaylin Schmidt and Dale Mellum both of Minot, ND were struggling to find care for their parents in need of memory care. They decided to create a company that would be able to help them and others in their community in similar situations so they began construction on a project in Minot, ND to meet not only their needs but the needs of their community as well. Shortly after that they brought their company to Bismarck, Grand Forks and Fargo. Maple View remains a locally owned and operated company based in North Dakota.
