In 2010, our Strawberry Rhubarb Wine was named the Best Fruit Wine at the largest International Wine Competition. Our tasting room is open year-round Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m; evenings and Sundays by appointment. Online ordering for our wine and over 100 Pride of Dakota items is available at www.mapleriverwinery.com. We can ship our wines and Pride of Dakota products from our tasting room to over 45 states. Stop by our winery located in historic downtown Casselton and say "hello!" In 2018, more Rhubarb and Honey Wines joined the Maple River Winery team. The most popular have been Pineapple Rhubarb, Pomegranate Rhubarb, Honey Aronia, Honey Apricot and Apple Rhubarb Wine just to name a few. Cheers!!

History: Our goal back in 2001 was to make about 1,000 bottles of wine for our friends, neighbors, and relatives. It soon grew to a lot more. We have noticed that everyone has a need for something special. We hand craft each wine every year with farm fresh fruit harvested by local people. Rather than tell you that our rhubarb comes from North Dakota, we like to say, our rhubarb comes from this person. It adds a special aura about enjoying a taste of last generation. Today, our winery and distillery proudly use close to 100,000 pounds of North Dakota fruit. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to share quality North Dakota fruit with you.
