Company History
Kris’s Little North Studio began in early 2026 by Kris, after more than two decades in the corporate world. After spending 29 years building a career in technology, Kris decided it was time to pursue something very different—turning her lifelong love of creativity and crafting into a business of her own.
What began as a creative outlet quickly became the foundation for Kris’s Little North Studio. Working from her North Dakota home studio, Kris began designing and creating handmade wooden signs and home décor, experimenting with different finishes, materials, colors, and seasonal designs.
From the beginning, the vision was to create products that looked and felt intentionally made—not mass-produced. Kris enjoys every part of the creative process, from developing a design and preparing the wood to painting, staining, applying the finished artwork, and adding the final details.
As the business has grown, so has the collection. What started with handmade wooden signs has expanded to include tiered tray décor, cutting boards, mugs, keepsakes, seasonal décor, and gifts designed for a variety of occasions throughout the year.
Today, Kris’s Little North Studio continues to grow from its North Dakota studio, with new designs developed throughout the seasons and a continued focus on quality craftsmanship and thoughtful details. The goal remains simple: to create beautiful, handmade pieces that help make a house feel like home and give customers something they are proud to display or share with someone they love.
Kris is proud to be building her business in North Dakota and is excited to continue growing a small, creative business rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and the belief that handmade products can bring something special to everyday life.
