Company History

Esther's Acres is a 120+-year-old family farm located south of Glenburn, North Dakota, run and operated by Forrest, Desiree, and Donald Carlson. The farm was named after the first woman, Forrest's great-grandmother, to live on the farm back in the 1900s. In 2020, Forrest and Desiree returned to the farm and began bringing it out of "retirement." The two of them have a background in education and found the transition into farming only to come naturally. Teaching others about 'food literacy' is a passion for the two of them, leading them down the CSA and direct-to-consumer path.
