Company History
Bear Creek Winery was built in 2000. In 2003, Rod and Sue Ballinger opened the Bear Creek Winery doors to the public. Ever since, they have been the creators of each wine in every stage of their development. They grow, produce, bottle and serve the wine themselves. Today, the second generation of Ballinger's are working side by side with Sue and Rod, keeping the winery in the family.
Bear Creek is one of the original wineries in the Red River Valley, located in South Fargo. In the beginning, Bear Creek produced mainly fruit wines, but since 2010 we have been sole devoted to exploring cold climate grapes and their capacity to produce fine wine.
