Bear Creek Felting

Bear Creek Felting is a North Dakota-based fiber arts business specializing in high-quality, handcrafted needle felting kits, wool products, and online instruction. Founded and operated by artist Teresa Perleberg, Bear Creek Felting offers unique, personality-filled designs made with locally grown wool from her own flock of sheep. Each kit includes carefully selected materials and step-by-step guidance to help both beginners and experienced felters create charming, lifelike animals and other wool sculptures.

Through the Bear Creek Needle Felting Academy, members gain access to a growing library of online courses, tutorials, and a supportive creative community. Teresa's deep-rooted North Dakota heritage, hands-on experience raising sheep, and passion for fiber arts shine through in every product and course. History:

Bear Creek Felting was founded by Teresa Perleberg in 2008 on her family farm in southeast North Dakota. With a lifelong love of animals, art, and the prairie lifestyle, Teresa discovered needle felting as the perfect creative outlet that combined her passions. She began raising her own flock of sheep to produce the high-quality wool needed for her projects, leading to the development of her first needle felting kits.

What started as a small venture selling handmade wool animals online quickly grew into a trusted source for premium felting supplies and instruction. Over the years, Bear Creek Felting has expanded to include dozens of original kit designs and a thriving online learning platform—the Bear Creek Needle Felting Academy—serving thousands of fiber artists around the world.

Teresa continues to design, teach, and inspire others to explore the art of needle felting using locally sourced materials and years of hands-on experience.
