Pride of Dakota Press ReleasesFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MAY 3, 2006 JOHNSON UNVEILS NEW PRIDE OF DAKOTA WEBSITE BISMARCK – Agriculture Commissioner Roger Johnson says a new website for the Pride of Dakota program will be a valuable marketing tool for member companies, as well as a ready source of Pride of Dakota products for consumers across the state and around the world.
“Just bookmark www.prideofdakota.com in your web browser, and you can reach any Pride of Dakota member company and in many cases buy their products right online,” Johnson said Wednesday. The new website provides each Pride of Dakota member company with an individual member page to list information about the company and its products or services. Each member page will be linked to the members’ own website and e-mail addresses. “For member companies that already have a website, this is an additional way they can market their company as well as their own site,” Johnson said. “For members who do not have their own website, this gives them a presence on the Internet.” The listing on the website is free to Pride of Dakota member companies. Other features of the new website include:
The North Dakota Department of Agriculture maintains the website. Authorized by the Legislature and administered by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture, the Pride of Dakota program fosters the development and growth of small businesses and especially businesses that are farm-based or rely on agricultural commodities. Pride of Dakota member companies can participate in cooperative promotion and marketing events; receive representation at local, state, regional, national, and international trade shows and educational opportunities. More than 400 companies are Pride of Dakota members. -30- MEDIA: For more information, please call Patrice Lahlum or Ted Quanrud at (701) 328-2231. |
